The Cross

You know how everyone seems to have their own personal 'nitch' in the Bible? It's thier thing that they always tie everything else to. Personally I think it's amazing how that works. One verse can have so many applications to so many people. It can get one person excited for evangelism, one person turned on for worship and someone else motivated for prophecy.

My 'nitch' is Jesus. Seriously. Not just Jesus the man or king or god but, Jesus, the inventor of the cross.

There is something about Jesus dying for me that whenever I think about it my heart starts to ache. Then my stomache get a little tense, my throat choke up, and brings me close to tears. Almost every time. (Wow, I'm sounding like a sappy halmark card).

There has been such an end-times focus within the IHOP community over the past year+. I love studying end-times. But it wasn't until my heart made the connection with the first coming and the second coming that I began to actually cry for His return. The 2nd coming finally had become more than a topic of interest for me; I realized that it is the claiming of all He bought durring His first visit.

I love thinking about Jesus and the Cross because it intregues me in every way. The doctrine, the intimacy, the humility, the power, the simplicity and the ''who in the world thinks of something like that?''.
