Shawn and Anna Blanc

Shawn serves as the Director of Marketing. He gives oversight and leadership to all the branding, messaging, and communication channels for the IHOP–KC Missions Base.

His week is comprised of going to the 6AM prayer meetings, followed by a day of work with the design and web teams. Developing communication strategies and helping get the messages of IHOP–KC out to the globe!

For several years, Shawn was a full-time drummer, and although he doesn’t play as regularly he can still be spotted on occasion filling in for a team.

Anna and I met during the summer of 2001 in Castle Rock, Colorado after Anna moved from Houston, Texas. I was just about to move to Kansas City to join the International House of Prayer, and Anna was about to start college at University of Colorado.

After a few years of friendship, we began dating in 2003. To end the long distance relationship Anna moved out to Kansas City in January 2005 after graduating. It was in Kansas City that we ﬁnished out the rest of our engagement and got married on March 26, 2005 in Colorado.

We now work side by side as part of the full-time staﬀ of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri.

About Us

Just like Anna from the Bible in Luke chapter 2, Anna Blanc spends her days in the prayer room serving the Lord night and day with prayer and fasting.

Anna is a singer with Justin Rizzo’s worship team, she is the manager of the Bethany Healing Room (a healing room which gives special ministry to people who are chronically or terminally ill), as well as leading her own worship team 3 days a week in the Justice Prayer Room.

Anna’s Job

We are heavily involved with many of the IHOP-KC Missions Base activities. We spend much of our time in the Prayer Room playing and singing on worship teams, giving leadership in the prayer room, and being part of prayer meetings.

We ﬁrmly believe that God’s Kingdom is established through the saints agreeing with Him in prayer, and we can think of no better way to spend our time than with a community of believers giving incessant worship and intercession to Jesus.
